Summary
This workshop includes 5 days of sessions on Mithila Painting for adults who are interested in learning this art form with the possible extension of 5 days for the interested participants. The workshop includes different courses designed for the beginner level and intermediate level participants to get acquainted to the several forms of Mithila art.
Goal: The overall goal of this workshop is to introduce the interested art enthusiast to learn the folk art forms of Mithila painting which is majorly practiced by women in the southern part of Nepal and Bihar side of India. We want to share this art form with the participants and know a not much seen side of Mithila art which is self-expression.

The workshop was organized by PayalSapanaPaints in September for art enthusiasts. This workshop included 2 days (6th and 7th of July) of sessions on Mithila Painting for young adults who are interested in learning about this art form. The workshop included introductory courses designed for the beginners level and intermediate level participants.
The participants were introduced to the folk art forms of Mithila painting which is majorly practiced by women in the southern part of Nepal and Bihar side of India. We wanted to share the basic forms of this painting and make them familiar with some of the art practice. The participants learnt different motifs and patterns widely practiced in Mithila art. They also explored personal visual stories during the workshop.
